#AtoZChallenge….. 26 Days of ‘Soothing Ways to Pamper Your Mind, Body & Soul’

I’ve found this great blog challenge. It’s called The A-Z Challenge.   Arlee Bird @ Tossing it Out   is the brains behind this much awaited blog party.

The challenge is for bloggers to write posts {beginning with the letters of the Alphabet)  from A-Z throughout the month of April. But not on Sundays. The creators of this enticing challenge figured out that, by making a ‘no blogging Sunday’, the total posts for the month turns out to be exactly twenty-six posts. Juuuuust enough posts to accommodate every letter in the English alphabet!  Totally. Clever.

Right now there are 2,250 bloggers participating. { …. I’m #2099 }.  That’s, at least, 2,249 bloggie friends to be made and an equal amount of opportunities to be discovered. (Don’t you just love reciprocity?)

The posts don’t have to be long – nice, right?  There are a few more rules to the challenge. They’re all quite simple and lend themselves to what sounds like a month long good time.

I’ve decided to post with a theme in mind.

As stated in this posts title, my

THEME FOR THIS CHALLENGE IS:

‘Soothing Ways to Pamper Your Mind, Body & Soul’

So what do you think? Will you be joining me?

Pink Ink … Ode to the {Boobs}

Good Morning Luv-lies,

I spent the better part of the past weekend in bed nursing a cold.  {It unexpectedly reared its nasty head sometime Friday evening}.  Armed with multiple boxes of brand-named tissue, and enough vapor rub, cough elixir and ginger ale to cure a small army, I conceded to the notion of being a prisoner in my boudoir.  Between the sneezing, coughing and unplanned sleep ‘events’, I managed to get in a movie or two.  Chick Flicks mostly.  Nothing like a chick flick to soothe what ales you!

What I like most about a realllly good chick flick is the multiple themes layered throughout.  One theme that we can always count on is love.  From there, the writers might  sprinkle in a little sensitivity, resilience, family … the list is endless.   This weekend’s theme of the moment was bravery.

Long after the closing credits had rolled, as I randomly surfed the ‘net, the whole ‘bravery’ thing stayed on my mind.  I recalled people, situations and experiences in my personal life where acts of bravery were front and center.  My heart warmed at the notion of, either, knowing someone and/or personally stepping up to the “bravery plate”.

My only hope is that, the next time that I have to wear the shield of bravery, I am as brave as these women::
